George Alexanian

Stepanakert, Artsakh

George Alexanian

Videographer; Vocalist, Voices of Artsakh

Hey there! I'm George, from the tiny capital of Stepanakert. You might've seen me in the music videos of Voices of Artsakh, but I'm much more than just that! Ever since I was a kid, I've had a passion for working in the media industry. Unfortunately, that passion was rarely ever supported or encouraged. As someone who is born in the post-war reconstruction phase of a non-recognized country, it was quite difficult for me to make it as a videographer.

Over the years, YouTube tutorials quickly became my best friend and I soon began vlogging out of my unknown homeland—Artsakh! Today, I do much more than just that; these days, I do the things little George could only dream of! I work in advertising with such brands as Sirusho's Pregomesh, I'm an assistant producer at Artsakh TV, and a member of the Creative Armenia Network alongside many talented Armenians around the world. Back in 2017, I was chosen as one of the official photographers of the Armenian delegation for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. I may just be an 18-year-old high school senior, but I'm full of ambition and I'm always aiming high!

I believe in h-pem because I believe in the long-term preservation of Armenian culture, which should not only be experienced in our mother tongue but also by the non-Armenian speaking world.
